Screening details

The tests are carried out by NMC registered nurses all of which have many years of experience behind them. In addition to that, we ensure that all of our nurses belong to the Royal College of Nursing, which is a governing body set up to promote excellence in practice and represent nurses. The results are strictly confidential.

A private room with a minimum of a table and two chairs needs to be provided at the company premises.

Test details:

Cholesterol – Measuring total cholesterol in the blood.

Glucose – Measuring glucose (sugar) in the blood.

Lung Function – Predicted performance against height, sex and age.

Blood Pressure – Measure the pressure at which blood travels through the arteries.

Pulse – Measures the heart rate and regularity.

Body Mass Index – Ascertain an individual’s optimum weight.

Urine – Checks for the presence/levels of the following:

• Protein
• Blood
• Glucose
• Ketones
• pH

During the screening, smoking status will be ascertained, and advice offered to smokers who wish to stop.
